Andolsek is a fantastic Salt Lake Region SBDC client that creates high-end fashion with a cause. Michael Ryan Andolsek is the owner and German born fashion designer who relocated to Salt Lake City. He needed help writing a business plan and supply chain management system to rollout his company and get organized. He found the SBDC and decided to seek help.
“Anyone that starts a business should get as many advisors as possible,” said Andolsek. “The free resources at the SBDC are amazing. The advisors have a lot of experience and will be honest with you and help you figure what you need to move forward.”
Andolsek was diagnosed with autism when he was 21, after studying design in Paris and struggling with employers. His new company has a social mission to employ people with autism and help create a work environment where employees can excel. Currently, 66% of his workforce is autistic. In the United States, 80% of people with autism are underemployed or unemployed. Autism is a major hurdle for hiring managers who don’t recognize the talents of people with this condition.
Andolsek plans to move his web based business to a brick-and-mortar store. He also plans to expand around the world and hire as many autistic employees as possible.
