Kathy Ricci is a new Business Advisor for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at Salt Lake Community College. Prior to this, she spent 21 years as the CEO of the Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund (UMLF), a 501c3 non-profit Community Development Financial Institution, providing management assistance and business loans of up to $50,000 to entrepreneurs who were not able to access traditional sources of funding. During her tenure, over 900 loans were made in the state of Utah totaling over $15 million.
Before Kathy became CEO of the UMLF, she spent 10 years at the Utah Small Business Development Center providing counseling and training and managing 9 regional centers. A long-time advocate of small business, she co-designed the Banking on Women™ program, served on the Boards of the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Pete Suazo Business Center and South Salt Lake Chamber. Kathy was also invited to be on the inaugural Community Development Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Kathy holds a B.S. in Finance and Management and an MBA from the University of Utah.
