MOKR stands for Mission, Objectives and Key Results

Robert Bell will be here to speak on MOKR’s! The MOKR framework is a proven way to create a roadmap for you and your business and to help you discover the different paths available to get you where you want to go. This framework is powerful and it can be used to help you produce almost any outcome, business, personal, or otherwise.

Who is Robert Bell?
Currently, Robert runs day-to-day operations as a Venture Partner at the Ideaship Fund. Ideaship is a patent capital fund that invests in early-stage technology companies via services for equity and directed-cash investment that is designed to provide in-house patent department services and external patent counsel funding with the goal of establishing a foundational patent premium. Ideaship is a collaboration between Global Technology Transfer Group and Panasonic Intellectual Property Corporation of America.

Robert’s career began, after receiving a BS in Mechanical Engineering, in Unconventional Oil & Gas exploration and production. After almost a decade working in Oil & Gas, he transitioned to clean energy and designed and implemented large utility demand-side management (DSM) / Energy Efficiency programs for public utilities. From there he moved toward his new found love of entrepreneurship after earning an MBA, and worked in academia as one of the University of Utah’s youngest Principal Investigators and Executive Director of the Energy Commercialization Center (ECC); one of five regional ecosystem clusters in partnership with the Department of Energy-funded to help commercialize clean energy companies.

Since Robert received his MBA he started a non-profit that has been serving underrepresented entrepreneurs as they learn and try to get their ideas off the ground. The non-profit Sustainable Startups operated co-working space and created programs like E4ALL and Womenpreneurs. Womenpreneurs has gone on to be its own non-profit in Utah and the E4ALL program is currently offered by Woodforest National Bank in 8 cities across the US. Robert has coached 100s of founders, startups, and executives all along the stages of their journey, from napkin sketches to companies doing $5B in annual revenue. He has been a founder, co-founder, adviser, partner, coach, consultant, and investor and has been able to use his background in entrepreneurship, management, and engineering to bring a transparent and direct results-oriented approach to starting and growing companies.
